I’m going to apologize ahead of time, since school will be starting for me on Tuesday, I’m not going to have much time to get on this site or be very active in ACP.  I’m not quiting or anything, I just need to wait and see how much time I have.  Right now it looks like I’ll be lucky to get 5 hours a week.  I’m still going to try to post my trip pics and maybe some other stuff if I’m lucky, but the chance of the updated ranks database being ready are not that good.  Sorry for my future inactivity…

ACP Leader Analysis

The ACP leader situation is pretty chaotic right now, so I’m going to try to shed some light on the subject. I have created a system for analysis the important characteristics of a leader. Here are the categories:

Leadership: One’s ability to manage one’s soldiers on and off the battlefield.

Diplomacy: One’s ability to devise treaties and alliances with other armies.

Dedication: How dedicated one is to his or her army; also refers to the length of time he or she has been loyal to ACP.

Activeness: How often one is around to lead an army.

Fairness: One’s ability to be fair to all, be it promotions, punishments, etc.

Things to Be Clarified:

• Membership factored into the leadership rating due to the fact that a non-member leader would have difficulty getting into a large server to lead a battle.
• For those ratings that were tied, I ranked them by those who I felt were stronger in the more important areas, such as activeness. An inactive leader is no use to the army.
• Current rank did not factor in, these ratings are based solely on potential.
• I can only speak for myself about my activeness rating being only 2/5. That is because the activeness rating is for ability to be active during the school year. Since I will be busy and most likely unavailable during the week, I would not be a very effective leader.

News/Hacker Invasion

Ok, first I would like to say that we are back in control of the old ACP site.  It will most likely be run by Rapidy, Cooltiger413, and maybe a few others, so make that the main ACP site for now.  We will probably keep the new chat though.

Ok, secondly, as many of you already know, Club Penguin is having a huge hacker problem.  Though they have denied it through emails, you can’t deny the evidence (See below).  The main hacker servers are Frozen, Mammoth, Brumby, and Tundra, so be extra careful when on these servers.  Not all the hackers are malicious, but some have the ability to hack your penguin and steal items and coins, or ban it forever.  DO NOT CLICK THEIR PLAYERCARDS.  If you want to report them, take a picture and email it to Club Penguin.  If you send a report to a moderator from their player card they can then hack you.  So be careful.

Oagalthorp, You Shall Be Missed

Today was the day the Oagalthorp left ACP for good.  I hope those who harassed him into submission after he lost a loved one feel good about themselves.  I won’t go on about the rest anymore, it’s been too sad already.  The way everything went down was something I just don’t want to think about.  Instead, I guess I will just say goodbye.

Oagal we will truly miss you. It takes a big man to apologize for all that, even when it wasn’t all your fault. I will never forget you. You were the reason I joined ACP, and the reason why I will never quit. I carry with me your ideals of what an army should be and I promise not to let ACP stray away from them again. I wish it didn’t have to end, but I guess all things must come to an end. When this site was in danger of being deleted I spent nearly 6 hours copying posts to my computer. Even though the site is still here, those 6 hours of repetition were not wasted, for I learned how much you really cared for this army and how much you put into it. Your work will not be forgotten, we will maintain what you started. ACP will still be strong as long as we have loyal soldiers. Once again, thank you Oagalthorp.

The “New” ACP

Today, the rebellion against Oagalthorp reached its peak today.  The new site became official, the new chat went into use.  The big concern for me and many others, however, was that Oagal threatened to delete the ACP site.  Instead he made a poll to determine its fate.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t look good.  The site will most likely be deleted, along with nearly 2 years of posts and information detailing the history of Club Penguin’s most famous army.  Please vote NO in this poll!!

Anyway, the “new” ACP will be led temporarily by Fort57, until it can restore balance.  At that point, Fort will resign and Rapidy will take over.  The government of the new ACP will be a true Democratic Republic, anchored by the Council, a group of ACP’s top 10 soldiers.  All decisions within the army will go through this council.

Ok first, the big news with CP Armies is the leader/Oagal situation in ACP.  The first issue was that when Fort retired, he told Oagal to pick a new leader.  Oagal did, but Fort was fired of waiting for him to announce it and made Dr Nono Jr the new leader.  Oagal came back and said that Rapidy was the leader and Nono would be Second in Command.  Fort was mad at Oagal for overruling his decision, so he took Oagal off the ACP site.  Oagal contacted WordPress, who re-adminned him and made Fort a contributor.  Besides there being a conflict over who would lead (I think it has been generally been accepted that Rapidy is the new leader), the main conflict now is what to do about Oagal.  There are currently plans of a rebellion within ACP to exile Oagalthorp from ACP while maintaining the army.  Here is the official poll of ACP soldiers of whether Oagalthorp should be allowed to stay or not:

Now in somewhat minor news, Oagal declared war on UMA for starting this big battle between ACP, UMA, IW, and the Nachos (see below).  Because of the lack of support for this decision, ACP will not likely fight this war.  Other armies, including the Nachos and UMA, have offered to aid ACP in its attempt to remove its retired leader.

In even less related news, ACP’s retired former General Orcacam07 visited ACP chat a few days ago.  He added me on CP, and I can confirm that he is as cool as everyone said he was 😛

Ninjas?

I have been hearing about so-called “ninja testers” on Club Penguin.  Could this be one of more examples?  This morning I went Klondike and my friend Corvette 360 came on.  We hung out for a little while and I got an alert that Mazachster, one of our old friends, was on.  So we went to where it said he was, the dojo, and he was on the Dojo wall!  Later, Terrking showed up and Maz said he owned the Nachos and started attacking Terry.  Then we just chased Terry around for a while…

Fort57 Retires/ACP vs IW

As many of you already know, Fort57, the ACP leader, retired today shortly before the battle between ACP and IW.  Despite this setback, ACP rallied around Fort, many dedicating the battle to him.  ACP was led by Oagalthorp for the first half, and by Headofpolice after Oagal left.  ACP had the larger number of soldiers throughout the battle, but the IW held in there, and the battle raged for nearly 2 and a half hours.  Here are some pics:

Overall, it was a very good effort for both sides.  ACP was at times distracted by the leader or lack of a leader situation, but prevailed nonetheless.  Fort, this battle was dedicated to you, and I am proud to say, we claimed victory in your name.
